Skills Priority List – URGENT ACTION NEEDED

Dear members of the SA outdoors sector

The Federal Government is currently seeking data about skills and job gaps in Australia to help direct it on its funding and policy strategies.

Importantly, the current report says “Outdoor Adventure Guides” (ANZSCO 452299) and “Outdoor Adventure Instructors” (ANZSCO  452215) are NOT a priority in South Australia for investment….

…This does not seem consistent with any conversations Outdoors SA has had in the sector.

We have therefore attached a link to the latest Jobs and Skills Australia Priority List survey for 2024.

We ask you to please complete this survey IF

  • You are requiring a skilled workforce in your organisation, or
  • You see the demand for employees in our industry out-strip supply, or
  • You are struggling at getting staff to fill positions.

To get the support we need as a sector, it is incredibly important that it shows on the Skills Priority List to get action.
