Tourism, Travel, Hospitality and Events – Draft 1

Open for Consultation
SkillsIQ, under the direction of the Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Industry Reference Committee (IRC), has undertaken to update the tourism, travel, hospitality and events components of the SIT Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package.

Feedback reviewed during the Draft 1 consultation period will inform the development of Draft 2. Consultation on Draft 1 allows stakeholders to review changes made to inform the Draft 1 Training Package Products and provides an opportunity for initial input prior to the development of Draft 2.

National consultation on Draft 1 is now open from Tuesday, 13 July to 5:00pm on Monday, 09 August 2021. Stakeholders may leave feedback on the Draft 1 Training Package Products which can be accessed via the SkillsIQ Online Feedback Forum here. During this period input will be sought on the following:

Tourism

  • 12 qualifications
  • 13 Skill Sets
  • 88 Units of Competency.

Travel

  • 1 qualification
  • 4 Skill Sets
  • 13 Units of Competency.

Hospitality

  • 7 qualifications
  • 7 Skill Sets
  • 52 Units of Competency.

Events

  • 3 qualifications
  • 2 Skill Sets
  • 19 Units of Competency.

A series of webinars will be held to provide further information and details on how to provide feedback. Please visit the SkillsIQ Online Feedback Forum or the Tourism, Travel, Hospitality or Events project pages to register for a webinar.

Following the close of consultation, feedback will be collated and evaluated by the IRC. This feedback will inform the development of Draft 2 for public validation.
